In a significant collaboration from May 20th to 22nd, the team from Shiner Functional Films National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center joined forces with technical experts from Zhejiang Hisun Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., product development engineers from Natureworks, and technical staff from Guilin Electronic Science Institute to conduct pilot production of BOPLA films. The primary objective of this pilot was to produce high-quality tape base films and single-sided heat-sealable films.


Through precise equipment tuning and formulation optimization, the team successfully manufactured a 28-micrometer thick tape base film and a 25-micrometer thick single-sided heat-sealable film. The success of this pilot not only demonstrated the reliability and stability of Hisun's polylactic acid raw materials but also provided empirical support for the process conditions required to produce various biaxially stretched polylactic acid films.


The pilot production line at Guilin Electronic Science Institute provided a crucial experimental environment for this trial, showcasing the breakthroughs achievable in materials science through interdisciplinary teamwork. This collaboration has further strengthened the ties between industry and research institutions, laying a solid foundation for larger-scale industrial production in the future.

    On the eve of International Workers' Day, Hainan Changguang Satellite Information Technology Co., Ltd., a strategic investment of Shiner Industrial, was awarded the "National May 1st Labor Certificate" for 2026, becoming one of Hainan Province's most prominent innovation benchmarks. This honor reflects Shiner's deep-rooted "spirit of model workers": In 2016, Chief Technical Engineer Li Tan received the National May 1st Labor Medal; in 2022, Technical Center Director Wang Junfeng received the Hainan Provincial May 1st Labor Medal; and in 2026, Hainan Changguang Satellite earned the National May 1st Labor Certificate. Over the decade, Shiner has transitioned from traditional film to aerospace big data, proving that innovation is a commitment ingrained in its culture.

    Li Tan, a national model worker, began as a machine operator and led his team to develop a BOPP cigarette packaging film matching international performance in 1998, overcoming market dominance of expensive imported products. He later pioneered laser holographic anti-counterfeiting film technology and co-authored China's national production standard for laser anti-counterfeiting films. Holding 13 invention patents, he established an innovation framework for his team: "Produce one generation, develop one generation, reserve one generation."

    Wang Junfeng, a provincial model worker, received the Hainan Provincial May 1st Labor Medal in 2022, the same year Shiner was recognized as a specialized SME. He led technical breakthroughs in easy-tear cigarette films, co-extruded naked wrap films, hot-stamping films, high-grade colored aluminum films, moisture-retention packaging base films, and finished moisture-retention packaging, continuously elevating Shiner's product portfolio to higher technical platforms.
